Joan A. Hager, a loving mother, grandmother, and cherished friend,
passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 13, 2025.
She was 89 years old. Born to Beatrice and Patrick Moran, Joan grew up
in a close-knit family that shaped her enduring love for her own.
Predeceased by her parents; her brothers Michael, Tom, and John
Moran; and her sister, Alice Kelly, Joan embraced life with strength, love,
and resilience. She was married for 59 beautiful years to her beloved
husband, Samuel L. Hager, who passed on November 29, 2015.
Together, they created a legacy of love and family that will continue to
shine through generations.
Joan is survived by her brother, Patrick Moran; her five devoted children
and their spouses: Michael Hager, Trish Kardos, Kenneth Hager, Diane
Mirabile, and Vincent Hager. She also leaves behind 10 treasured
grandchildren: Lee Hager, Casey Hager, Drew Hager, Ryan Hager,
Taylor Hager, Dillon Mirabile, Tara Mirabile, Sean Hager, Joan Hager,
and Sam Hager who were the light of her life.
Joan’s deep faith, unshakable kindness, and generous spirit touched the
lives of everyone who knew her. A warm and caring soul, she devoted
her life to her family, filling their days with laughter, guidance, and an
abundance of love.
A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church,
Palm City, Fl on February 22 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family
kindly requests that donations be made to Doctors without Borders in her
honor.
Joan will be profoundly missed by all who were lucky enough to know
her, but her legacy of love and family will live on in their hearts forever.
