Edward Paul Fuller, 56, born on February 7, 1969, in Wilton, Connecticut, passed away April 23, 2025, in Stuart, Florida. Paul was an accomplished athlete and a respected coach whose passion for football impacted the lives of many.

 A proud 1987 graduate of Wilton High School, Paul further honed his skills and love for the game at Bridgton Academy, graduating in 1988. He went on to attend the University of Maine, where he played football and earned his Bachelor’s degree in 1992. Paul continued his academic journey with two Master’s degrees from Ohio University, setting the foundation for both his career and his lifelong commitment to football.

After graduating, Paul pursued his dream of playing professional football. He played Arena Football for the Connecticut Coyotes and was honored with the opportunity to try out for the Cleveland Browns, an achievement that underscored his talent and dedication to the sport.

Following his playing career, Paul transitioned into coaching, where he shared his insight and love for the game. He coached at several prestigious institutions, including the United States Military Academy at West Point, Vanderbilt University, Bowdoin College, Ohio University, and Bridgton Academy. His coaching legacy touched the lives of countless athletes, instilling in them not only football skills but also the values of hard work, integrity, and perseverance.

Paul is survived by his loving mother and stepfather Kerry and Tom Sheridan; his daughter, McKenna Anne Fuller of California; his uncle, E.L. Warren III; his sister, Elizabeth Schoenherr; his brother, Arthur Fuller Jr.; his sister-in-law, Gina Fuller; his step-siblings, Christian Sheridan and Lauren Scavo; as well as several nieces, nephews and the love of Susan Bumgartner. He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Fuller, Sr., and his brother, Michael Warren Fuller.

Paul was a man of character who was loved by his family. He had a kind heart and had spent the last 2 years authoring an exhaustive history of NCAA football from the very beginning.
