After a long-fought battle with lung disease, David Lee Edison, 72, of Stuart, FL, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, under the loving care of his family and Treasure Coast Hospice.
Dave was a beloved husband, father, and friend, and is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Ellen (Duncan-Paugh) Edison, and their four children, Amy Marie (Edison) Jenkins, Nichole Ashley (Edison) Bantum, James Michael (Mick) Paugh, and Jessica (Jessie) Marie Paugh; grandchildren Kaiden, Kowen, Kevin, Taylor, Lauren, Maverick, and soon-to-be born Oliver; and great-grandchild Tristen.
Dave was born in Louisville, KY, to parents Clyde and Luella (Maines-Edison) Brittingham, but moved to Palm Beach County, Florida, when Dave was three. He always considered himself a Floridian. He is now reunited with his parents and stepdad, Earl Brittingham, who preceded him in death. Dave had no siblings.
He lived with his family in Stuart for 35 years and will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who have decided to have a private service.
