Fort Pierce

Craig R. Pennington

In loving memory of Craig Robert Pennington, age 56, of Fort Pierce Florida who went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on October 28, 2024, from Covid Pneumonia in Port St. Lucie Florida with family by his side.

Craig grew up in Tinley Park Illinois, where he learned to value hard work and nurture his Christian faith. He is a graduate of V.J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park. He attended Washburne Trade School. After graduating he embarked on a long career in the Tool & Die industry, working in the South Suburbs of Chicago.

Craig led a full life of love, dedication, compassion, and creativity. He left a lasting impact, laughter, and memories on all who knew him. And cherished his relationship with each person he met. Craig's passions included fitness, biking, reading, and the outdoors. Two of his favorite passions were Nascar and football. In 2015 Craig moved to Florida to broaden his experience beyond his Chicago upbringing and escape the cold winters of Illinois.

Beloved son to Robert and Joyce Penningon. Loving brother to Sandy (Matt) Gillespie. Dear uncle of Jim Gillespie, Sarah Gillespie, and Carolyn (Jack) Murphy. Loved nephew, and cousin. Cherished friend and colleague to many. Craig's memory will be cherished by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday 11/6/2024 11 am-12 pm at Martin Funeral Home 961 S. Kanner Hwy, Stuart, Florida 34994.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his honor to Samaritans Purse and Treasure Coast Hospice and become an organ donor.

As we mourn the loss of Craig Pennington, we also celebrate a life well lived. May he rest in eternal peace.
