Cheryl Griffith Edney

Cheryl Griffith Edney, 59, of Stuart, FL, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, with her family by her side, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born in Waterbury, CT to Robert Bruce and Donna L. (nèe Daly) Griffith, Cheryl moved to the Stuart area with her husband Steven and started their family. She devoted her time to helping others as an Occupational Therapist.

Cheryl attended school at Scared Heart High School and obtained her Bachelor of Science at the University of New Hampshire. She grew up in Waterbury, CT and liked trips with her husband to the Cape Cod shore, to enjoy a glass of wine and a movie. She also liked hiking in the mountains, white water rafting, and trips to Boston. And, of course, she enjoyed a pint or two on Sunday afternoons with her husband.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 30 years, Steven Edney of Stuart, FL, sons Jared of Stuart and Jacob of Delray Beach, parents Robert Bruce Griffith and Donna L. Griffith of Naples, FL, sister Lynne (Tim) Dolan of Middlebury, CT and brother Scott Griffith of Naples, FL, mother-in-law Harriet Edney and nieces and nephews Christopher, Drew, Sarah, Abigail, Jack, Erin, Logan and Alyssa. Cheryl is also survived by many loving friends and co-workers. She will be truly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, with a visitation starting at 10:00 am and a service beginning at 11:00 am at Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, Stuart Chapel, 961 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart, FL.
