Mrs. Clara Stough Sparks, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on February 26 th , 2025. Her final years were spent in her home in Stuart, Florida, the place she loved most, surrounded by family and close friends. A true Floridian, Clara was born in Vero Beach, Florida in 1929 and attended Auburn University. It was her final summer home when she met a handsome Coast Guardsman and became her most cherished job of all, a wife and mother. Mother to Bruce (Renate), Matt (Helen), and Crystal (Troy), Grandma to Matthew, Jon-Erik, Brandon, Rachel and Aaron. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, William (Sparky) and her beautiful granddaughter Sarah. She was also a loved Aunt, Great Aunt, Teacher, Sunday School teacher and naturally gravitated anywhere there was a child that needed a hug or attention. She was member of The First Baptist Church of Port Salerno for over 50 years and spent many Sunday afternoons and Wednesday nights giving glory to God and her Savior Jesus Christ. Known for her hugs, intelligence, and wit, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. The family would like to personally thank Pat Swartz, Tammy Frost and Linda Schmidt for all of the incredible care they have provided in recent years.
A service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Port Salerno on Saturday, March 8 th at 11:00 am.
